PAST:
Born, raised and educated in Brusly
Cultivated and trained the original Machita & Company competition team
2005 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a degree in Marketing
2005 began teaching with A Touch of Class Performing Arts
2005 began teaching with Xtreme School of Dance
2009 attained a certification in both Jazz and Ballet from Dance Masters of America
2010 began teaching for Lemoine Academy of Dance
2011 - 2022 - owned and operated a fast-paced high end steak restaurant in downtown Hammond and served Tangipahoa parish for 11 years, all while keeping a toe on the dance floor
2015 returned to a Touch of Class Performing Arts where I continued to train and choreograph for both the competition and recreational classes
Earned several choreography awards from Starpower, Dance Masters of America, VIP Dance & many more dance competitions & conventions
PRESENT:
Celebrating 25 years as a dance educator
MDC’s Company Prep Director, pouring my passion and knowledge on to the youngest competitors at MDC
Recently accepted a position at the West Baton Rouge Convention & Visitors Bureau
FUTURE:
Continuing to build a curriculum to push the MDC students into their next level of skill sets
To always promote a class space that strengthens work ethic and builds respect for their fellow students
I am beyond excited to settle back into my hometown and train the next generation of Machita Dance Company dancers
