Katherine Langlois

Teacher/Director of Experience

PAST: 

• Danced at DeFrances Academy of Dance for 7 years then continued training and competing with Machita Dance Company for 9 years

• Won numerous awards, titles, and scholarships at conventions and competitions 

• Attended two summers of the Joffrey Ballet workshop in San Antonio, TX

• Danced all four years and graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 2015

• Member of the Northwestern State University Demon Dazzler Danceline

• Presented first choreographic piece at the American College Dance Association conference in 2018 

• Awarded NSU Theatre and Dance Department’s Outstanding Student in Dance in 2018

• Performed at the Louisiana State Capitol to recruit the now existing BFA in Dance program at NSU

• Graduated from Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Theatre with a Concentration in Dance in 2019

• Emcee for StarQuest Dance Competitions

• Traveled across the United States performing professionally as a dancer at TEXAS! The Outdoor Musical, Cedar Point, Six Flags Over Texas, and most recently, the Mountain of Entertainment Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN 

PRESENT: 

• Celebrating 25 years of dance 

• Celebrating my second year of teaching at MDC

• Director of Experience at Machita Dance Company- delivering the WOW factors of the studio, morale of MDC, and overall communication to our students, parents, and faculty

FUTURE:

• Move to Dallas, Texas to pursue my teaching career

• Earn my fitness certification and become a barre instructor

• Continue educating our youth by using the tools and knowledge I’ve gained over the years!
