Machita Dance Company is proud to offer a variety of dance and acro classes during the summer for children of all ages. From tap to ballet, jazz to hip hop, lyrical to contemporary - we are a well-rounded dance studio located right outside of Baton Rouge in Port Allen, Louisiana. Come dance with us!

POWERHOUSE INTENSIVE
MAY 29-31
for dancers ages 6+
Let’s do this! Let’s get strong!
Are you ready to build strength, endurance, flexibility? In this intensive we will explore the different techniques of training while we take classes such as Stretch & Strength, Conditioning, Acro, Jazz Technique, Leaps & Turns & Ballet.
The studio will open at 8:30am and close at 3:30pm.
Extended care is available 8:00am-4:00pm.
*You never know who will be popping in for a surprise Master Class!
At the time of registration, a non-refundable registration fee of $50 will be deducted to go towards your Summer Event fee. The remaining payment will be due 5/1/24. A late fee will apply on 5/5/24. Fees are non-refundable. Fees can be transferred to another 2024 Summer Event.

AFTERSHOCK INTENSIVE

This intensive will rock your world! Get out of your comfort zone and join us as we push boundaries in these genres: Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet & Acro. From stylized, funky, expressive, strength & more - you don’t want to miss out on all the fun!

MINI MOVERS CAMP
june 10th-13th or JULY 15th-18th

New to dance?
This class is designed to introduce our little ones to the creative and expressive world of dance. This program enhances their natural movement providing a strong foundation for technical and cognitive approaches. Great class for boys and girls! A perfect combination of Creative Movement and Acro.
The creative movement portion consists of a fun, interactive sing-along/dance class. The use of upbeat music and wonderful props will provide a great environment for boys and girls to have a blast. They will work to improve and develop their balance, coordination, rhythm, creativity, and most of all, confidence. Acro will be basic rolls, jumping, and more.

DANCING WITH TROLLS CAMP
june 10th-13th
for dancers ages 3-7
A magical journey that will charm our tiny dancers! You don’t want to miss this one!
This camp offers an exciting journey into the fantastical realm of TROLLS! Dancers will have fun dancing to the music of TROLLS, doing themed arts and crafts and on the last day our dancers can dress up in colorful clothes to bring out their inner TROLL! The camp will end with a Rocking Troll Performance for family and friends to come watch! Great for boys & girls and a great introduction to Jazz for 5-7 year olds.

THE MOVEMENT

You don’t want your dancer to miss this life-changing moment!
This is our very own in-house Dance Intensive, by KM AGENCY, that empowers students by improving self-confidence, teamwork, performance, mindset and technique. The Movement brings two full days of mentoring, inspiration, motivation and education. Caring teachers work with our students in a. positive and familiar learning environment, while providing classes in different genres. At the end of the final day there is a showcase for family and friends to witness the remarkable transformation the dancers experience.
At the time of registration a non-refundable registration fee of $50 will be deducted to go towards your Summer Event fee. The remaining balance will be due 5/1/25. A late fee will apply on 5/5/24. Once paid in full fees are non-refundable. This event cannot be transferred to another 2024 Summer Event.

LET’S GET WILD - ACRO CAMP

for dancers ages 3-5
Come explore the wild jungle and become lions, tigers, bears and other wild animals!
Join MDC as we use our imagination being wild animals for the week. We will go wild learning basic Acro skills using balance, strength, and control!

Advance your skills while having fun with our Beautiful Ballet Mistress, Katherine! Learn terminology, technique, musicality and much more. Let’s get back to the basics!

Ever wanted to be a Princess? This is your camp!
Pretending to be a Princess with pretty wands and crowns is on our agenda. We will have a tea party too! You never know what Princess may come share story time with our little princesses. On the last day there will be a Royal Performance for family and friends to watch. Ballet, Tap, Creative Movement, and Acro. This camp is a great introduction to Jazz for 5-7 year olds.
